It’s a Fun introduction to Fitness

The Little Kickers Class is a 30-minute session that targets towards children ages 4 to 6 years old. It will introduce fitness to children by developing their motor skills with movements such as running, kicking, jumping, and much more! This fun session is the perfect foundation towards healthy lifestyle and developing their desire to fitness. Taekwondo is the perfect way to allow children to burn off some excess energy and even a great outlet to blow off some steam.

Focus and Respect

Two core principles of Taekwondo are focus and respect. The structures of every Taekwondo classes here at Ohn Top Martial Arts demonstrates the importance of focus and respect by teaching students how to be courteous and be kind towards others. Students develop team building skills by learning the significance of taking turns, cooperating with a partner, following instructions, and supporting one another. These skills of focus and respect are taught here at Ohn Top and the students are able to apply these skills at home, in the classroom, in sports teams, and even amongst friends.

Lets face it, we all have been there where it was difficult to find the continuous joy with fitness. It would be the same for children as well. That is why it is one of our missions here at Ohn Top to show and have uninterrupted joy towards fitness for our Little Tigers. We will make sure each of our Little Tigers experience fun with their classes while still upholding core principles of focus, respect, and discipline.

Q. Will my child need any previous martial arts experience?

No! We prepare our classes so that any person of any age and any level can participate. That means no previous experience is required. Our experienced members can and will help new members to ensure that everyone feels part of the family on their first day of class.

Q. Does Martial Art classes mean my child will learn how to “fight”?

Martial art does teach students self-defense moves. However, your child will not be "fighting" anyone or getting hurt. Our students do practice some sparring drills, there is always potential for injury with any sports activity, however, our instructors take extra precaution to make sure no one gets injured.

Q. Will My Kid Have Fun While Learning Martial Arts At Ohn Top?

Our priority at Ohn Top martial arts classes is to focus on core principles such as focus, respect, perseverance, etc. all while making sure our students have fun in a safe environment. Come and experience the fun with a class for yourself – everyone has a blast!

Q. Can Studying Martial Arts Help with My Child’s Temper Tantrums?

Yes! Do not worry, your child is not the first and will not be the last to have temper tantrums. Our instructors help children learn the importance of emotional control and respect for others. These are lessons can then carry over to the classrooms.

Q. My child is out of control physically and can be very destructive. Can martial arts help with this Behavior?

Our Martial art classes focus on respect and discipline. These skills will aid with learning how to control emotions and master their actions, emotions, control, and strength. They will learn how to control their movements and not act off their emotions.

Q. What skills will my child learn to help themselves do better in school?

Martial arts training teaches focus, discipline, self-control, and respect. These traits help children let go of petty grievances and learn to pay attention to the things that can carry over to their everyday life.

Q. My child isn’t physically coordinated. Will they get hurt?

Our instructors are trained so that anyone of any abilities and ages can learn skills without getting hurt and injured. Your child will learn at a pace that is comfortable for them. We make sure the environment and atmosphere put everyone’s safety first.
